Mission

BASA-Q was founded with a clear purpose: to make quality educational books and resources accessible to every teacher and librarian across the country.

As a registered not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest all proceeds back into developing new resources and expanding our collection to better serve the Australian education community.

We believe that every student deserves access to engaging, curriculum-aligned literature that sparks curiosity and fosters a lifelong love of reading.

Making an impact

Our commitment to the not-for-profit model ensures that every purchase directly supports the development of new educational materials and helps us reach more students in regional, remote, and very remote areas.

Our narratives are thoughtfully set against regional and remote Australian backdrops, fostering a deeper connection for students in these areas and offering urban learners a valuable glimpse into diverse ways of life beyond metropolitan centers.

We work closely with teachers to understand their needs and continuously improve our offerings to better serve Australian classrooms.

BASA-Q is an Australian not-for-profit organisation creating strengths-based, story-led resources for schools.

Our novellas are designed for whole-school adoption and support wellbeing, inclusion, and learning without diagnosis, labels, or clinical instruction.

Anti-Bullying Alignment: Through story, our novellas support positive anti-bullying culture by encouraging empathy, help-seeking, safe boundaries and community support — without personal disclosure or diagnostic framing.
